Things to avoid are things like... Stripy shirts. Stripy shirts can cause problems because they can make the lens dance. You may see if I move around a little bit that you'll get a kind of shimmery effect or some kind of lighting and or changing and shifting from the lens. Check shirts. Check shirts can be just as bad they can make the lens dance as well and basically the tighter the checks usually the worse it is. So, what we say to people is avoid tight checks, avoid checks, tight stripes, polka dots well I haven't got a polka dot shirt so I can't get changed into one of them. Ladies, if you're gonna have a professional shoot then try to avoid wearing a dress. We have nowhere to stick the mic pack it's really quite awkward when we have to put it on your bra strap. So, basically, there's a few tips of what to wear and what not to wear when you're making your videos yeah. If you want to find out anything about video marketing give us a call we're happy to help.

So, to selfie or not to selfie? That is the question. The reason for making this video is because we see a lot of people now using mobile phones to make video for their business. The good thing about a selfie stick and I know they are the Marmite of the video world because quite simply some people love them and some people hate them. But basically is selfie stick it helps you, they remove, it helps remove some of the shake from your hand. It basically, it gives you easier control when you're trying to frame. It gives you better depth in shot so that basically you can get the camera further away from you rather than just at arm's length. You can actually go arm's length and selfie length if you like. So basically, they're really good. Here's just a couple of places that you can use your selfie stick when out and about; On a building site. Camping with friends. When out and about exploring. When something strange happens. When out and about walking the dog. When you're at a networking event.

When doing our digital marketing, whether it's blogs video or social media, we all think the same thing. How much content should we make? But is quantity the most important thing for our digital marketing? In reality, you should make as much as you can afford the time and expense to make. But we need to ensure the following. The quality: Remember that perception is everything. You don't want to make loads of poor quality content. Make it engaging: Make the content interesting for your audience. If you talk about you then no one will watch. Make it useful: When you make your content useful people will share it and this extends the reach of your marketing efforts. That's just a few things to consider when doing your digital marketing. If you want to find out more about video marketing and in particular content creation, then give us a call we're happy to help.

With any digital marketing, we have to remember that we are appealing to two things. First of all, people. We want to engage and start conversations with people. Second of all, the Machine. Like it or not, if we don't let platforms like Google know where we are then we won't get noticed by people that we want to talk to. This is why we favour YouTube. It's owned by Google, they paid a measly 1.64 billion US dollars for it so they tend to like people using it. After all, when was the last time you saw a Vimeo video come up in a Google search? What I will say just before we finish is make sure you use YouTube correctly. It can mean the difference between tens of thousands of views. Just to let you know, we run workshops on YouTube so you can get better results from your videos. And if you want to find out anything more about video marketing or YouTube, give us a call, we're happy to help.

We're often asked, "What makes a good video marketing strategy?" And to be honest that's a difficult question to answer in a short video like this as there are so many factors to consider. So what I'm going to do is give you three things that you need to consider when putting your video marketing strategy together. First of all, understand your audience. Who are they? Where are they hanging out online? And what do they want to know? When you know these things then you can make content that engages with them. Secondly, begin with the end in mind. Understand what you want the video to do. And finally, know what you're going to do with the video. Remember, video is great, but it's only a medium. You need to work with your video so that your video can work for you. If you want to find out more about video marketing, in particular, video marketing strategies, give us a call, we're happy to help.
